Camertonia is the magazine for BACAS to present our activities to each other and the wider archaeological audience. As such, articles should be well organized and entertaining if possible. Any articles about archaeological projects will be read by archaeologists and should be of a suitable standard. We hope Camertonia articles will show the readers our enthusiasm for and enjoyment of archaeology. The tone of articles needn’t be too formal.
All articles for submission should be emailed as a Microsoft Word document to camertonia@bacas.org.uk as soon as possible. Photos and results images should be attached or sent separately, not embedded in the Word document. The Editorial Board will happily accept articles at any time before the deadline.

Word limits
The number of words for an article can vary tremendously depending on how many images are used and the space that they take up on the page. A good approach is to look through
the last two editions and gauge what size article you would like to write based on previously written articles. We can provide the word counts to give you an idea of how many words you need to use.
If you have any queries please contact communications@bacas.org.uk
Once you have submitted an article it will be proofread and formatted. Once this is completed, it will be emailed back to you as a pdf for you to check that you are happy with the presentation.
Please note that the Editors do reserve the right to edit or decline any submission. The author will be informed of this as soon as feasibly possible.
