Society met on seven Wednesday evenings. Thanks to Mr Brocklesbury for arranging the visit to the Camden Museum in Julian Road. Mention of Real Tennis Court built in 1777. Thanks to Mr Longhurst for visit to Masonic Hall in Orchard Street. 25th May, Englishcombe and Priston. 8th June, Compton Dando. 22nd June, Somerset Coal Canal. 6th July, Biddestone and Hardenhuish. 20th July, Compton Martin. There are detailed Reports on each of these visits.

At first meeting of 1983, demonstration given of noise levels, by decibels, to demonstrate noise pollution in Bath. City Council has offered post of Architectural Consultant to Mr John Darbourne for a period of 5 years – 30 days per year being devoted to Bath. Mr Sparkes, Director of Environmental Services, attended a meeting of the Bristol Society of Architects in September, when it was felt that Bath would benefit from an Urban Studies Centre. Flood lighting in Pulteney Street has been suggested to stimulate interest in the architecture.
